>fish 002 > brendon marczan, 2008 > original artwork > 370mm wide x 254mm high (unframed) (14.57" x 10") it’s very hard to create artworks with underwater characters and recreate the feeling of movement without drawing a cliché image of waves. i set myself a task to use my detailed patterns to ensure a sense of movement is felt, that there’s something around the fish, attached to it and following it. the water is represented in my triangular tipi pattern, with the water over the fish’s body, underneath it and trailing it closely. the fine lines are created with ink pen.

		> this artwork is created on acid-free paper but has not been UV treated. i recommend it be framed in UV coated glass and kept away from direct sunlight to avoid fading. > this artwork is packaged inside a heavy card and plastic sleeve to protect it from light, bending and damage to the paper and materials used > while the best care is taken to ensure colours shown on this website match those of the original artwork, colours may not be fully appreciate on some systems due to differences in monitors and/ or display cards
