this is where i start.
i started researching decoration 5 years ago while studying fashion design and haven't stopped. intricate patterns of suffocatingly tight repetition, sometimes monotonal, sometimes bursting with colour.
mixing ancient decoration from various cultures and merging them to create new and unusual patterns, i always create artwork when i'm listening to music. the text in my artwork lets me hold on to how i felt while creating each artwork. a passing song on the radio might never normally be added to my playlist, but those simple lyrics remind me of when i started creating something that excited me.
on reviewing my own artwork, i always sing the songs in my head.
