>nobody believes me > brendon marczan, 2007 > original artwork > 903mm wide x 315mm high (plus black frame, 140mm wide white mount at top & bottom, 90mm wide white mount at sides) (35.55" x 12.40") > ink + marker on paper goldfish have great googly eyes which don’t seem to be looking at anything in particular. their expression is so vague and reminds me of the faces of people on my train to work each day, stuck in their fish-tank carriage, desperately hoping to get out. unfortunately some days i’m a goldfish too. 'nobody believes me' is to give hope to the goldfish, the possibility of one day having an even better fish tank to swim around. the lines of this artwork were created with ink pen, the colour is marker.
