winter in Sydney is pretty easy compared to other cities in Australia and around the world. we are lucky that we don't get freezing cold temperatures and i'm still able to wear t-shirts around most of the time. i collect t-shirts so this makes me extremely happy. the 2008 winter was so warm in fact, i don't remember ever wearing a jacket to keep warm.

Montreal is quite a little bit colder than Sydney in the winter. i was there in december 2007 and froze my ass off trying to get from my hotel to... basically anywhere. the minus 25 degrees cut through my several layers of jeans, undergarments and jackets. amazingly, the homeless in Montreal are possibly the craziest in the world, braving the ridiculous conditions and standing outside almost all day to beg for money.

it's ecstasy is a sketch of a teenager waiting for her friend outside a bar in Montreal. i got lost trying to find a bar that was recommended to me on st catherine street and she was crouched over, possibly drunk, but either way just trying to keep warm. the lines are created with ink pen, the colour is marker.

> this artwork is created on acid-free paper but has not been UV treated. i recommend it be framed in UV coated glass and kept away from direct sunlight to avoid fading.

> this artwork is packaged inside a heavy card and plastic sleeve to protect it from light, bending and damage to the paper and materials used

> while the best care is taken to ensure colours shown on this website match those of the original artwork, colours may not be fully appreciate on some systems due to differences in monitors and/ or display cards
